Eye Shapes 101 Makeup School

Knowing your Eye Shape will help you with your makeup whether you are a makeup lover or makeup artist!

Almond Eye Shape is very similar to a shape of an almond

Round Eye Shape is more open & circular

Oval Eye Shape is very much like almond eye shape except this eye shape is more narrow then almond shaped eyes

Prominent Eyes or Protruding Eyes these types of eyes are set further out of the eye socket

Deep Set Eyes seem to be set back further in the eye socket

Far Set describes eyes that are more then a finger space away from the side of your nose

Close Set Eyes are set very close to the side of the nose less then a finger space between your tear duct and the side of your nose

Small eyes are tinnier then average eyes

Large Eyes are big and open looking but not necessarily protruding

  • Is it possible to not have deep or prominate eyes? Also do they have to be big or small? Mine seem to be in between

  • Have oval/proment eyes ;)

  • Did You Draw These?

  • Where can I send a picture of my eye. I don't know exactly what shape, size, etc. they are. Thanks!

  • @ladykaedeXXI Thanks, I'll try that!! :D

  • @scoutlara91 I have the same eye shape as well. I just make the eyeliner very thin, and the wing very small so that theres not a significant difference. I'm still trying to figure out the appropriate angle for the wing but I hope this helps!

  • My left eye is a bigger almond shape than my right eye. So when i put the eyeliner wing on, it never looks even... how do I solve that problem? thanks!
