THis just demonstrates how Ultimate is one of the best sports. You don't see the sport dominated only by people who are really tall, like in basket ball or really huge, like in football. Skill is a bigger factor than bigness, probably a bigger factor than anything else in Ultimate.

@wantedsponge121 I will agree that soccer would take that title where a person's structure isn't so relevant to the game. However, I will disagree that the taller guy will almost always get it in ultimate. Countless times I have skied guys over 6' and I am 5'6. But in the case that the shorter person does not have any ups, yeah, the taller guy will almost always get it unless they can't read the disc for shit. Another strategy for shorter people is to jump early to mess up the other guy.

yes, in ultimate when the disc is higher in the air, the taller person will grab that if both players jump. but what i'm saying is that skill outweighs the power of height. look again at buzz bullets v. sockeye and you'll see that the tall players aren't really at an advantage because they're tall - what they can do with the disc and within the rules of the game creates too much opportunity to circumvent any advantage height would grant - hence the even scores.

@aamidjaythreepointoh i'm a huge fan of ultimate frisbee, more so than any other sport, but i gotta say i think you're wrong in this case. soccer would take that title, i've seen 5' 4 guys take on and beat 6' 3 defenders. in soccer the magic you can create with the ball can beat anybody no matter what your and they're size/power is. in ultimate, the second it goes up, the taller guy (if he's a lot taller, not like 1 inch) will almost always get it. still, love ultimate, more than soccer :)
