On the 2nd Tuesday of every month, poets & lovers of poetry get together at Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse (http://www.tastefullbeans.com/) in Hickory, NC for Poetry Hickory This event is lead by Scott Owens (http://www.myspace.com/scottowenspoet) and is supported in part by Main Street Rag (http://www.mainstreetrag.com) and the North Carolina Writers Network (http://www.ncwriters.org/)

The next get together is September 8th. The readings start at 6:30. Writers do get together from 5-6 to discuss their writing and to share new information on contests, events etc. Just generally to chat.
