A test for a new project. Blades of grass, generated with Cinema4D's Hair module. Particle effectors Turbulence and Wind are applied to the whole patch, and one keyframed Attractor (with negative value, so it might better be called a Repulsor) moves through the grass, forcing the blades out of its way.

I've never tried using hair as grass in Cinema4D, considering that I don't own it, but I Have tried it on Autodesk Maya. It works pretty well.
