Social Media offers the simplest means to access and publish media. There has been a rapid growth in the number of users to social websites and a significant draw towards the social network online games (with Farmville having 62 million active monthly users).
EF's "Around the World with 80 Friends" is an interactive online social game that brings the popularity of social networking, the fun of gaming, and education together.
Gameplay would integrate the social networking aspect of the platforms used and the players will be able to invite their friends to perform certain acts, to travel with them and to learn about the different cultures they discover throughout their journeys. Players will be given quests that require them to learn about each region to obtain their trophies. The more diverse the circle of friends will be the more likely the player will level up and the faster he will complete the tasks. A news feed and newly uploaded videos can be viewed on a sidebar corresponding to each country visited and their recent events. The game would be available in different versions allowing people with other languages to play the game and interact with strangers from around the globe.
