What I was saying is we seperated them & I had to choose between Content or quality..I would choose quality. This is entirely for musical creativity. I'd listen to something negative that is illustrated well then to someone who will talk positive but couldnt even rhyme words properly.
Music/Hiphop is not Haram, what u do with it can be evil though. If the music anyone listen to strays them away from the path of Allah then obviously he should probably put that music down.

it is not wrong 'islamically' because Islam is moral and guidance. We shudnt confuse AL-Noor (The Light) forcing rule and regulations. When the seeker come's across AL-Haqq (The Truth), the mind submits with certainty that he sees it a rule to himself. This is between the seeker and Allah (The Judge).

how is normal hiphop less harming? Don't be stupid, are you saying songs like 'Ludacris - Move Bitch' are better for our soul than anything this brother has made?
HipHop has its roots in poetry and conveying a message.. somewhat similar to sermons, the only thing the brother is potential doing wrong islamically is including a beat to his lyrics.. i'm not gona discuss that issue - Allah knows best about it.
But overall what this brother is doing is good, you'd be foolish to think otherwise.

is this warehouse off green street?? when did this happen?

"I write rap too but wack rappers decribe things, good rappers paint pictures and talk about themselves and experiences and that what makes people think."
C'mon man, that's not fair. You don't think you can have a healthy mix of both? I'm actually doing a project on the argument as to whether Music in general is Haram, so I've been checking out a lot of Muslim Hip Hop.

Hiphop is a culture. We wear it, we talk it, we live it. This should never clash with the deen or even be mixed up in a bowl.
Islam should be embraced and the guidance for us to speak, write and act a certain way like the brother stated at the end.
Allah has said he does not need anything and I am not doubting the brothers intentions but this is not Jihad. Normal hiphop is less harming to a muslim bcos he knows its all wrong. Another muslim could be mislead by what this brother is sayin.
