yes indeed, very close. latin names are hucho hucho and hucho taimen.

You exhibit the best handling of caught huchen that is to be released I have seen on the Internet or TV so far. This is how everyone should handle huchen (or other fish) they intend to release!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are huchen close relatives to the taimen of mongolia? From what I've read on the fish they're very similar. Non-migratory predatory salmanoids, and have very similar body shape, size, and coloration, habitat, ect. The European taimen.

I did find the Romanian name for these fish.

How is the other kinds of species in these Romanian rivers such as German Brown trout and is their any rainbow trout fishing .

On You Tube you can see some really amazing trout fishing being done on Romanian streams and rivers by average fishermen .

The rivers are: Cris, Mures, Rastolita, Salard, Ilva, Bistrita Aurie.

Those are the rivers where i'm fishing. Maybe there are more rivers witch i don't know but the they are the same with less or no hucho hucho in it.

In romanian hucho is called "LOSTRITA'' ... this is for you to search it easier ;)
