Katey Montague On the Seizure of the Family Home by the Ontario Government

Katey Montague describes what it was like growing up in the family home that her father, Bruce Montague, built with his bare hands, and is now in danger of being seized by the Ontario Government using their proceeds of crime law, the Ontario Civil Remedies Act.

The fact the home has nothing to do with crime, and was fully paid for with legally-acquired money is entirely irrelevant to the Ontario Government.

@geofrichubs Thanks for asking... right now it's still waiting to go before the judge. That is scheduled to happen on May 13th. The Crown keeps telling us its a waste of time and money to fight them. Guess they expect my family to just give up.  I'll post more news as it happens.

As for those who feel the need to question my motives... what can I say... they haven't had to live through what I have at the hands of our government. They find it impossible to believe this can happen in a "so-called" free society.

@eventheinnocent you are not correct.  There is no requirement under the civil remedies act for the person to be convicted of a crime. You don't have to be charged or even arrested for them to take your property. Don't believe me? Read the act for yourself.

I am in the US not Canada but this girl is smarter than the collective lot of our politicians and I'm sure her own. Put her in a one on one debate with any of them and the one who comes away looking stupid would not be her. The challenge would be finding one of the gutless cowards willing to debate her.
