  • His soaring is very erratic. It seems to me that he is constantly correcting his path.

  • 'Constantly correcting'....

NOTE: This site is has a complex shape to the low ridge ('rippled' shape) so even on a simple 'wind' day to run the ridge requires constant changes in heading!

This day lift was from a complex mix of direct thermic lift, plus thermic (from the town) induced ridge lift.... and of course the basic ridge lift from the 'pressure wind'!

In short, fly a straight path (no constant correction) at sites like this and you will be at the bottom VERY quickly :-)

  • For those that wonder why my videos get a 'One Star'... Well it's becasuse for over 10 yrs I've been providing RE-training to BHPA 'pilots'..

In the UK we have some very sick & twisted individuals that will do almost anything they can to support the BHPA in their efforts to MAINTAIN the trully appaling accident, injury & death rates that RESULTS for the incompetent instruction and 'standards' they promote..

So Scott, just how many more UK pilots must die because of incompetent instruction?

  • Not often we see the site flying from this angle (at the start).

Very interesting seeing it from down below.
