DOOM II: Icarus: Alien Vanguard (UV Playthrough) [PC] - MAP01: Shuttlecraft

I don't need to explain this one, do I? Well I'm going to anyway, because I'm waiting for this to upload.

Created by Team TNT after id Software bought the publishing rights for Evilution (a deal which caused some controversy in the Doom community), Icarus: Alien Vanguard filled the 'freeware' gap left by what became half of Final Doom, entertaining us all with another 32 maps. And a fine 32 maps they are too.

Alright, so some of them are just damn ugly to look at and offer no real clues for navigation when everything's a silver wall, but for the most part they do at least play well and are a damn sight less hitscan-filled than Evilution. Although judging by this first map, you might think it should be the other way around...

Yeah yeah, it could have gone better here. But I don't give a shit, because it's only the beginning, and things only get better from here.

Nothing, but Icarus has one of its own which overwrites any pre-loaded STBAR graphics.

It's not that bad. Back in 1996 it was something of a novelty to throw in a new STBAR.

Icarus rocks. The levels are (mostly) good looking and fun to play, and the music is really awesome.

imo TNT out did them selfs with Icarus: AV. So many great moments in this wad. The "church" in this level still stands out as one of my favorite events in Doom wads.
