Hide in a van? The equipment is electrically powered & operates in all weathers - what would be the benefit of having to lug it out every time, plus a hefty tripod & attach umbilical power supply cables?

Speed enforcement is not financed by taxes, so you can stop the resentment.

The proper with 'good' drivers, who makes that deternination? Corsa Boy believes he is highly skilled = is he?

Speed limits are a great leveller & there so everyone knows what to expect from other road users.

my point was that this particular road is so long and wide that it is possible to do double the speed limit in relative safety and control.
so this means doing 80 or 90 is way within the limits of that road and most modern cars. the only variable is the driver. most on the roads are clueless so i dont advicate it
it just means a good driver can safely do more than 70.

i resent paying huge taxes for someone to hide in a van, in a bush, risking my livihood.

I see what your saying through your anger and if you want to do 155 on a public road then thats up to you...Its if you lose it and end up hitting me head on and killing me and my family that i would have to oppose. Whats the point in a speed limit if it isnt enforced?? They do sit in stupid places sometimes though I agree but if you want to get rid of them completely then dont do 155 and also get all the people who have accidents due to excess speed to not.....

this road is a huge long duelled straight.

why wont these wankers leave us alone. you can and i have done 155 down their. now if i crash and die, thats my problem.
doing 85mph is seriously no big deal. leave us the fuck alone, you stupid fucking parasites.

im guessing that plod and his asre bandit friend mr speed camera operator probably watches this to get thrills. so id like to say. get a proper job or failing that, buy yourself a noose and do us all a favour.

There is nothing whatsoever to suggest that any of the behaviour in the above clip is even remotely connected to speed enforcement.

Why does the car at 1:58 suddenly swerve just because the brakes are applied?

Properly maintained vehicles don't dive off to the left/right when you hit the brakes - to even suggest it is the 'fault' of anyone other than the idiot behind the wheel is ludicrous.

how many accidents has this operation caused? we just saw 2 accidents which could potentially have been fatal due to this operation. Some may argue well they shouldn't have been speeding. Well then why isn't there a law on cutting off people's hands who steal regardless of what they steal? They shouldn't have been stealing right?

You are correct, speed is ALWAYS a determining factor, but a stopped vehicle also doesn't get anyone from point A to point B, and makes the vehicle rather useless as anything but a place for teens to neck.

Why set a speed limit? Montana had a speed limit of, "driving a safe speed". A safe speed on an empty interstate could be 90+, while a safe speed on a crowded one could be 40. Speed limits as they stand now are simply another government tax.
