this is a herman li-style sweeping... a few people wouldn't really call this sweeping

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. I will have to look up Herman Li. I picked this up from Gambale. H. Blanchard, a private jazz instructor of mine, had Chick Corea play on his New Earth Sonata album. I was fortunate to be around Gambale some. I just picked it up watching him. I never thought of different styles of sweeping. It is not really my thing. I am a Morse fan.

@paulandlesson thanks for posting the video ^-^ .. his style (i can't say if he invented it though) is basically where you alternate pick the first and last notes.. a standard sweeep usually does a hammer on and a pull off .. whichever works for you as long as it's not sloppy and if it's not your style then that's alright but it's always good to know =)

Grunge, Thanks, it is always nice to have pleasant conversations with fellow musicians. It seems that many people only comment when they have something negative to say. I follow you about the hammer on/ pull off example. When/if I ever use them in a musical setting I do that too. Since I was showing this, I think I stuck to the odd/even principal. I also notice on this video that I actually pick the strings once instead of sweep (duh!) Thanks again. Philip
