1989 CT performance on JL and PS. Songs include "Ruby" and "House on Old Lonesome Road". Featured Musicians: Charlie Archer (lead guitar); Bo Sloan (keyboards); Tommy "Pork Chop" Markham (drums) and Gene Hughey (bass guitar).
@wildblondeangel2000 My late first husband Daryle Higdon;known as Animal, because he was wild on the drums was friends with Pork Chop. Some of the performers would say that Animal(Daryle),Pork Chop and Snuffy were the best drummers in country music.Animal was drummer to PeeWee King and others.I wished I had the photo of Daryle,Tommy and myself..Pork Chop will always be remembered. You son and you have a right to be proud.Sandie.
"Play Ruby Play" is one of my favorites from his 1989 album. It was co-written by Tony Brown. Love "House On Old Lonesome Road" as well. One of his last Top-20 hits. This was during the era where Conway began to appear on a lot of cable and network television programs after years of sticking with just a few shows on The Nashville Network per year. Before TNN came along in 1983 he rarely appeared on television except for HEE-HAW or POP GOES THE COUNTRY.
