It was first time when Clark met Tess. So, he didn't know who is the woman who he saved....and Tess not exactly a bad person. Her intentions are good, the bad is that she willing to do anything neccessary to achieves it. Even it's means something evil

@klran26 your right.there are just some people out there who were conviced that tess was evil.when she only did evil things in order to get to do good thing.like this necessary evil stuff and i heard someone thinking that tess was kind of bipolar.i for one did not feel she did evil that well anyway.even though she does do a good job being a bit of a bitch on the earth 2 world.maybe on that earth she could of been a better villain.i'm not sure if i like that she slept with zod.

Clark has never slept with his enemies. Oliver used to date Tess and sleep with her, not Clark. Plus she isnt bad anymore, he would have killed someone who was able to be saved. Tess may have been a con but at times she did chose to do the right thing and realized she was on the wrong side. I would have been shocked if he let her die along with anyone else.
