Actually you play as Russians in BF3 too, which you try and stop terrorists from blowing up France, so they're not the bad guys. The enemy of the US made Russians look bad, but they're not.
Its also funny that the US teams are the ones that need to plant bombs and destroy objectives in Rush. Russians aren't the bad guys ;)
