"It's your fault he's dead. He never wanted kids." When I was very young, my Father died and shortly thereafter, one of his blood relatives said this and disowned us. I grew up feeling like I was responsible for my Father's death; that somehow, him passing away had been entirely my fault. Being older, I realize we're all capable of saying hurtful things when we're racked with loss and pain, but it doesn't negate all the guilt I felt as a child.

I'm afraid that no matter how hard I try ill never be able to accomplish anything of any relevance and when I'm old ill look back and be disappointed with my life.

Crushing words are when someone who you thought was your friend says nothing important, when you are going through something important.

I'm only a teenager and I'm already culturally irrelevant. I feel like I can never get ahead in the world because I'm so far behind already, and I'm slowly digging backwards while my peers are steadily moving forward. How can I do something great for the world when I can't even connect with my own generation? They're not crushing words so much as crushing looks, crushing silences, crushing ignorance. Where will I be when I do get old? "I'm disappearing!" That's how I feel. My talent is outdated.

(part 2) When someone who raised you starts turning on you because you are growing up and moving on to start your own life, or acting like you are in college and exploring the world before you have to many responsibilities to do so, it is crushing... But it made me a better person, I learned to stick up for myself and I also learned that I don't need to keep toxic people in my life. So to anyone who has ever been told anything like that, don't listen. You are worth more, keep on truckin

(part 1) I do good, as good as can be expected considering my rough past, and it used to go unnoticed. I was told over and over "You don't love me, you only care about yourself, you are never home" I was 20, working full time and a full time student, so yes I was never home.
