  • I am proud to say that my voice teacher is very good friends with her and have performed together!

  • Who's that idiot clapping at the beginning? -.-"

Wonderful contralto voice but the coloratur isn't fine!

  • @cantanteporsiempre she is a contralto ;) a very rare voice!

  • I'm a coloratura fanatic and might complain like others are about Ms. Blythe's lack of flexibility compared to Horne, Berganza or Genaux... but only if her voice weren't so beautiful. Her clarity and consistency are really stunning and make this very enjoyable to listen to.

  • Ms. Blythe has a lovely contralto voice; it's a pleasure to hear. However, this aria, in my mind, will always be the incomparable Marilyn Horne's, who I had the privilege to see and hear twice in recital. She is a master of her craft!

  • @tonnetto69 qualche allevatore magari

  • @munkustrap79 uahuahuahaahah in questo caso si....chi la vuole a questaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • ... da vaCCa femmina felicitàààààà...

  • @SkateNater Couldn't fit in everything - but wanted to add - is all a matter of opinion anyway, They are both great singers. Anyone hearing either of them live was or is lucky.

  • @SkateNater You make many good points. I heard Ms Horne live over 20 times including The Met Norma in '70. Their techniques are different. Each has something vocally unique.. Criticizing Ms Horne for anything is ridiculous. Are you as good a singer as she? Do you know what it takes to sing that way? As a life-long vocal student I can say that Ms Horne deserves all the accolades she accrued including being named one of the greatest singers of all time while she was still actively singing.
