This is the second of two parts of video that I took during our "Christmas for the Animals" at Peace River Refuge and Ranch. We create paper mache more... critters out of non-toxic materials and mix mint in with the paste. By putting the animals' food into these, as well as wrapped boxes, not only do the animals get a different way of eating but it is considered "enrichment" for them to have to dig, claw and chew open things to get to the food.

  • yes, if it comes to that again, I will most certainly do some footage if we're not too overwhelmed with getting ready. We had three hurricanes cross over our area three years ago. We still have cage damage from that!

  • Throw some ice in there, too. LOL. Could you do a vid on your preparations in case of a hurricane? I saw some vid on tv last year of problems other sanctuaries had because of flooding and storms doing damage. That would be very informative to all. I think you could tag it with more things and get more people to your channel and to help carry on your rescue work. Just an idea.

  • yes, they do! That is a must around here in the summer.

  • Oh, you know they love that water to cool off in Florida!
