  • took me a while to realize this was amelia airheart (i think thats how you spell it)

  • Mr. Skylark1 is a nasty old fuddy-duddy. I attended the premiere of this opera in Seattle and thought it one of the most beautiful (and supremely vocal) works I've ever heard. Clearly, this fellow thinks he knows his stuff, but it strikes me as arrogant in the extreme to judge an entire opera based on a three or four minute promo reel. Stating one's opinions as facts, as this person peremptorily does, may make him feel good, but it also makes him look like a buffoon.

  • There is no middle voice in the coloratura. The top is being forced. Listen to NEZHDANOVA, ROBIN, VALLIN. All female singers are having their voice covered leading to hooting, unpleasant tones.
