I'm the one administering the pain here. What I'm inserting is a nasopharyngeal airway for a Combat Lifesaver Course. I had one inserted in my nose first.

Do they teach you how to put in stitches ?

In certain advanced courses they do, and if you're a medic, doctor or nurse in the military, yes. Otherwise our medical training primarily focuses on keeping someone alive long enough to get them to a medical facility. In most situations it's not feasible to stitch someone up when you're in a firefight.

Made my eyes water just watching this.....lol. I have been a volunteer EMT for 16 years and I love it but I must say, I am so thankful that we dont have to do that to eachother in our training. We have dummies to use instead. :)
