Anne Williams interviews Meg Hutchinson on WNRN's Acoustic Sunrise in Charlottesville, Virginia on December 12, 2008 before her show at Gravity Lounge.
Gee, you guys are tough to please. I actually enjoyed it, and felt I learned some things. It is hard, I think, for artists to easily explain what they do. For alt folk songwriter performers, times are VERY tough. People don't pay for music anymore, they just download it. The younger newer artists really get very little reward for the wonderful songs they do. The path from singing in the subway to being one of the respected artists in this genre was surely tough. I think Meg is charming.
