  • I think people are missing the point behind Kelly making Sandra Lee recipes. As some have said, yes Sandra is the one with success and money, but to a real cook or baker it is infuriating. Kelly is trying to show you how Sandra's meals just don't work when you are out of the food network studio (I doubt they even work in the studio) and how no real skill, talent or culinary prowess is employed when making this food. She's exposing a cooking fraud who uses low quality ingredients to make bad food

  • You, madam, totally ROCK. I'm sure your own cherry pie would be SODALICIOUS.

  • This pie makes me want to cry.

  • @niecy619 Well because Sandra has a cooking show not a fashion/ beauty/ life style show. The fact that she's pretty doesn't matter if her food's crap. If Quasimodo had kick ass recipes, I'd rather watch his show than hers. And maybe she doesn't really make those recipes on her show because honestly who will?

  • @niecy619 Sandra Lee's food doesn't make her fat because it likely makes her vomit it up should she ever try to ingest it. Sandra Lee has her own chef who cooks *for* her. You know, real food, not the bullshit Sandra tries to shove down people's throats. Even if Kelly is fat, that just means the woman can eat and not go bulimic like Sandra.

  • @niecy619 Of course Sandra Lee's food is not making her fat... I doubt she ever actually eats what she prepares on tv - she most likely eats a decent meal, instead of that god-awful junk. Kelly doesn't need to show her face to make a very good point. And what's the problem with Kelly being fat? Being fat or thin is completely irrelevant when you're cooking, what matters is SKILL. Remember that, sweetie. ;)

  • Well, Kelly is trying to show us that how ineffective how Sandra's recipes are. She actually sacrificed her time, money and taste buds to make this for us and save us from unnecessary sadness. Well, not everybody is that selfish as to keep the injustice to ourselves and let the others die.

Admit it, Sandra's recipes are so off. "Hate" is heavy, but I get why.

As for some people who suggested jumping off a building, hey, thanks for your sacrifice. Now I know how idiotic a comment can be.

  • Congratulations on your cookbook that is about making REAL pies. Not like this recipe for pseudo-pie that is made to resemble the real thing from darling Sandra Lee. I find it funny that most of the members that gave positive reviews for this recipe made major renovations like using homemade crust, removing or altering the alcohol, adding thickeners, or even altering the filling. Shows that even the people that approved don't like the original recipe. Great job! =)

  • @blank2490 eeerm yea right. thats a very good Idea but I do have an even better Idea ! Why dont you just get into your kitchen grab your grannies book of recipes and get your kids and your beloved husband or whatever a meal which wont make em puke ! Isnt this a genius' idea ? Isnt it ?

  • @TheBlondeBond It takes me, from start to finish, 10 minutes to make a lemon pie. With home made crust. By just making one's own crust (butter, flour, sugar, water), one can make a cherry pie that will easily run circles around this one, even if you simply pour in some canned pie filling. Do we now live in a world where mixing four things and putting it in the oven is too difficult and time-consuming?

  • @unhappytomato Actually, if you have milk, flour, sugar, egg, butter, baking soda, and maybe sour cream, you have the ingredients to make pretty much any baked good. Pie crust is just flour, sugar, water, and butter. SHE would have made a lattice with her pizza cutter, but the recipe called for a top crust that was totally flat with some holes in it. And if you want to cut out biscuits, you use a clean water glass if you don't have a biscuit cutter.
