No problem, My shop is located in Somerville, N.J so if you live some where near you can swing by or we can talk about this another time even more in depth but you gotta nice durango.
I have just crossed the 100,000 on my DD durango. Porting the heads and raising the compression will have no effect on your reliability, in fact if you raise it like I did you will get better gas mpg and hp. If I were to have charged for my work on my heads it would have been around 1400-1600 but I went all out with flow testing and matching everything perfect. you can get a good job for like a 1000. sc is nice but I wuld turbo it before sc it, makes more power and you can get better mpg.
true.... ill look into it. this is also my DD, 98k on it..so im not trying to make it non reliable, although porting shouldnt be to bad.. but who knows, we'll see what i can come up with.. how much would porting and/or polish run? been thinking of s/c
You have the h/o cams so why waste time and money swapping again to 206 cams? I have the h/o cams with my ported heads and I am into 14.10 easily in the 1/4. if you could you should invest in some porting instead of cams
ya i know.. but when i bought this one, there wasnt really any 08 mani's around, plus the TB adapter is like 250+ IIRC. could make my own, but did this one.. ill probably upgrade to the 08 and some 206 cams from KRC performance.
You should have gone with the 2008 conversion intake upgrade for 99-07 4.7 engines. Reason is that the runners in the 2008 intake are a little bit shorter at 350mm and the others have 415-510mm depending on your year. shorter runners make more hp at top end. The H/O or stock one falls on its face above 5200, while the shorter runners will pull all the way to 5600-5800
