This is NOT the final mix. I will be updating with a better guitar mixdown very soon. Youtube compression makes it sound low-fi, but if you want the higher quality mp3, e-mail me at gliese436b@yahoo.com

Recording log: I played on an Ibanez RG2EX1 for both guitar tracks. Not the greatest guitar in the world, but I love it. And on that note (ha-ha) the second descending chromatic line could not be played in the correct octave without a pitch shifter, as I have only 24 frets and I don't like tuning up. The pitch shifter would have made it sound processed and phony. Drums: DFH2. Bass: Edirol Super Quartet. And, lastly, the staccato was a pain in the ass...

  • To this day I truly believe Iron Maiden was responsible for writing the soundtrack to Megaman 2.

  • my favorite soundtrack and favorite stage! btw why does megaman look like an overweight bodybuilder covered with nylon tights?

  • awesomee !

  • Very nice. You should show yourself playing it though so we can see how you do it and your guitar. But very good nonetheless.

  • Well, for the drums I used Drumkit From Hell 2. It's a collection of sound samples recorded by the drummer of the band Meshuggah. The bass was programmed using Edirol Super Quartet within Fruityloops.

  • Great job man!
