hi ive been doing Muay Thai over here for 8 months now ive mastered my hooks, my Kru says to me when you throw your hooks you want to bring the elbow up and turn from the shoulder and pivot of the lead leg is this right ? cheers .

@jamescourt1000 when you throw a hook you must bring your elbow to about your jaw level, just incase your opponent counters. yes you must pivot of the lead leg and snap from the hip at the same time for speed and power. different trainers has different ways of throwing a kick or a punch but you will find thai fighters restrict and locks their arm movement when they punch where as westerners throws their punch similar to boxers

just keep posting your stuff on youtube. start advertising Muay Thai lessons on Gumtree.com and other places. I'm a personal trainer and the going rate is $70 for 45min.
With your skill set I don't see why you wouldn't be able to charge that sort of money. My cousin is only 20yr old and has a martial arts school teaching Hapkido to adults and children.
I saw Kru Dips video on your channel he looks like a good mentor have you trained much with him?
