Soil tests determine the nutrients needed for best growth of plants. Applying the correct amount also protects the environment from excess nutrients. Order a Soil Testing Kit online: http://aesl.ces.uga.edu/soil/Georgia.htm
The kit includes information and instructions, along with a mailer for sending one soil sample to the University of Georgia Soil Testing Laboratory for analysis. A report with test results and recommendations will be returned to you.

  • @siervo740 Yes, compost contains some nutrients on which algae can depend on for their nutritional needs to grow.

  • @AsphaltCowboy57 Different labs vary in their test packages. At the Univ of Georgia, a basic routine soil test that includes pH, P, K, Ca, Mg, Mn, Zn costs $6.00/sample.
