This guy just fucking PERFECTED this stage not just in destroying the boss but by chaining the entire freaking stage...flawless...also This is harder than Ikaruga.

can anyone explain how the guns upgrade, theres only 1 faq out there and it doesnt explain very well. do they upgrade through general use or as i assume holding that gun on an enemy for a certain amount of bullets or time without missing and it will upgrade, but it only shows upgrades level for A,B,C onscreen. so what about the other guns, how do i know what level they are on? anyone got a list of how each gun upgrades?

Is there an option on this game for time attacks etc? I can't remember - I know your ship powers up with every gameyou play (provided you save) - an excellent feature IMO, rather like the ability to "buy" wepons, ships, art etc. from a "shop" like in Mars Matrix.. I do enjoy the feeling of progression when you are given extra credits on your next game if you have done well (like in Gradius V) - this gives a shmup a long lasting appeal that goes beyond the score chasing that we all love! ^_^

Now THAT'S a boss battle. Can you imaging the Captain of that enemy ship? He must be like "WTF do I have to do to kill this thing? Just freaking DIE already!".

Nope, didn't do that one, but the feel is certainly there. Hiroshi Iuchi did Ikaruga's music. Hitoshi Sakimoto did the music for Radiant Silvergun, and collaborated with Masaharu Iwata for FF Tactics (among other, mostly SquareEnix, games.) Sakimoto-san also composed for Gradius 5 (also a Treasure developed game) while Iwata-san did the music for Mushihime-sama by Cave.
