Why is it always about "vs." or "owning" with Henry Rollins, the obligation to be confrontational? Here it seems unnecessary. It looks hyper-defensive, going first to stereotypes, strawmen he created himself. It just results in awkwardness, not winning a crowd. It's easy to argue that the defensiveness itself is what escalates the drama. They may have well made suggestive comments, but isn't not caring/ laughing the best defense? What about subtlety, wit? I always go back and forth between thinking he's cool and thinking he's a total douchenozzle. This clip, I'd definitely file under the douchenozzle section. He totally generalizes all these people before he even talks to them. Hmm, isn't that what a lot of people probably did to punks back in the day, Hank? Who mouthed off, exactly? He was the one talking shit about everyone. How is saying the name of his book "mouthing off?"
