It's just a 12" extension bit. You can get one at most any hardware store. Or, you can cut the handle off an extra long #2 Philips head screwdriver and chuck it in a drill.
@zombieeatbrain where can I buy that kind of driver bit and which brands make it? Did you make it yourself? Just wondering because I'm about to screw in the trem claw too on my homemade electric guitar! :)
yeah i'm pretty sure you can. i think you can also have them make it set neck and stuff. jackson and charvel are still tied together if i'm not mistaken so you can even still get the pointy headstock. if i'm wrong someone correct me.
Hey, this is Scott, the guy in the video. I wrote a bunch of long-winded explanations earlier, then thought better of it.
The hardest part of what you see in the video is screwing in the trem claw. The driver bit is a foot long, it's easy to slip, and that particular wood was very tough.
And we do shape the necks by hand. We rough then out on either a pin router, shaper, or CNC, but they're all shaped and finished by hand.
Thanks for sharing this, much appreciated.

No problem, didnt want anyone to think I was downplaying the technical difficulty of building a guitar.
