This video shows some peanuts in sparkling water. They have been in it for about 10 minutes at this point.
When the peanuts were dropped in, they became covered in tiny bibbles of carbon dioxide. This made them float to the surface. But at the surface, some of the bubbles burst, and the peanut sinks again. And once again they get covered in tiny bubbles and the whole thing starts over.
