  • I had a B&W for several years, and I have the scars on my hands to prove it. He was random, sometimes attacking people for waking him up, and other times easy going. Don't be fooled by their laying on your chest, or curling up in your lap, they don't want affection they want your body heat.

I would never have never let a kid put his hands near my Tegus mouth. They can do serious damage to an adult, and take a kids finger completely off.

  • @ipissed and I have the scars on my hands to prove it.

    Well prove it.

It's a lizard not an alligator.

  • Be aware he has years of experience.

  • Love the tegu, and your methods of looking after your animals is also very good.

Favourited this, come take a look at my Golden Tegu & Savannah Monitor videos.

    Whitey

  • Thank you. It is true, just spend time with them and they become not tamed, but friendly.

  • how is it dangerous everybody pets tegus

  • Oh not everybody. Only proud owners and scareless spectators.

  • @ipissed People say the same thing about pitbulls and mine is a sweetheart its more about you the owner and how you raised the animal argentine Tegu's are very smart and can be trained and tamed. they require a lot of attention if they dont get attention they can be aggressive. Captive bread Tegu are not aggressive if raised right and that has been proven hundreds if not thousands of times by owners and countlessd youtube videos. stop your anti-tegu propaganda

  • @blueking21 as i said to someone else, they just mean dont pet any tegu bc you saw this little kid doing it. you might not know the tegu, and like any animal you dont just assume its going to be nice and pet it randomly. you COULD get hurt, whether its a dog, cat, parrot, or tegu. yknow.

  • @ukonfan912 they mean dont just go touch a random tegu because you saw a little kid petting one. its like not petting dogs you dont know because you dont know if they will be nice or try to hurt you. same with any animal, and especially a large tegu because you may scare it or come across one that isnt so nice like this one and get tail whipped or bitten.

  • @ipissed that is why it is important to know the tegus personality before you buy it. and make sure you handle it as much as u can when its a baby

  • @ipissed

You had a columbian ... hmmm wonder why he was random. Argentines are not like that at all.

  • My tegus are dog tame with cat personalities. They are relaxed and love attention but on some days just prefer to sleep all day long and not be bothered.

  • i have a bnw now and as long as you keep them feed there nothing to be worried about

  • @security317 Then you my friend know nothing about lizards. I myself have been attacked by Tegus. Its not fun. You got lucky here. Try it with the more aggressive Gold Tegu and see how it plays out.

  • @security317 They can do a fair amount of damage but they can also be super tame lizards you get out what you put in

  • Makedonec?
