This is a brief video, not the greatest quality I'll agree, taken from a Tram Video of all around Liverpool in the 1950's. I took it on my phone from PC. If you are from Old Swan you may recognise St. Annes School on the left( 25 secs ) , 43 seconds is the flats in the distance, 46 secs is the kwik save on the right ! ! This video is a great film of all around Liverpool suburbs.
Yes, it's a shame about Carniegie library. Like many others buildings in Merseyside, and I'm guessing nationwide, it's just left to rot, abandoned, such a waste of a good venue.

@Jeet27 Carnegie Library is a stunning building, like the ones in College Rd, Crosby, and nearer to that, Kensington Library. Amazing pieces of architecture.

A lovely middle class area. Went back today for the first time in years. Now (please excuse my language) a 3rd world desolate S hole. Believe me it's very bleak and nearly broke my heart seeing it. Lister Drive School torn down...now looks like a wasteland. Carnegie Library still there but abandoned. I took pictures but they are too depessing to look at. Very sad indeed.
