Watch the expanded version of Thamarassery (Wayanad) Churam Video recorded by newkerala.com Video Team. Thamarassery Churam, the curvy road which extends about 15 Km distance connects the districts of Wayanad and Kozhikode in the Kerala state, India. The lowest point is known as "Adivaram" and ending point is at "Lakkidi", a small town in Wayanad district.
Before few decades, travellers avoided here during late hours due to dense forest, presence of wild animals, robbery and poorly maintained dangerous hair-pin curves. Being a part of NH 212 (the national highway that connects Kerala and Karnataka states), it was modernised by extending the width of the road before few years.
We dedicate this video clip to Malayalam film actor Kuthiravattom Pappu who popularised "Thamarassery Churam" through some of his movies.

It's a dangerous circus of people and vehicles-why are these people going and coming from that location, what is so special that makes that trip worthwile? I don't get it. Wait for the rainy season . What's at the top? I bet there is an admission charge and someone is getting rich.I want to open a brake and transmission repair shop in that area so I can get rich also!
