Getting Mo Paydirt GOLD Prospecting, Trenching, sluicing and panning

Another trip out west. I love this place - Mo Music by Kan-Tu Blues Band (and Friends) - get it off Archive (dot) Org - open source. found some good specimens including a chunky little piece embedded in quartz. the deeper we followed the crevice into the riverbank - bigger and bigger pieces showed themselves.. We copped four seasons in one day - again. and thats the "prospectors choice" river sluice. Miners Den Parramatta. Took 3 buckets of 1/2" classified material back for "Homework" ;)

@gloverguy, sure the squaremouth shovel was a pig.. but we cracked the bedrock apart and in the crevices we did quite ok. theres almost no gold in the surface gravel where we were and if there is, its very fine.. Riverbed/bedrock/crevices/old clay is where we found good colour at this spot.

At 2:36 there is a shot of the old river bed above their heads . The old bedrock is still there and thats where you look ! seems like no one has even touched it !
