I prefer his interpretation to the one of Lang Lang. I listened to interpretations of women available here on YT too. At the beginning I thought they were better - because of their incredible hand movement technique. Until they came to the part with the more aggressive allegro... In this part the wide range of emotion is essential - and they almost ignore the allegro. They didn't work that out properly. Well, and to my mind Lang Lang is exaggerating a bit.

Kissin delivers once more the best interpretation on the web!!!

People u should all Commit suicide because of the grunting! Please! Suicide- no compromise.

I blame the mic guy, not the conductor, a lot of conductors make noises like that but they're usually inaudible to the audience..
Whoever set up those mics should be at fault IMHO

@Cooller1993 he isn't talking about visuals at all if you didn't read his comment PROPERLY, he is talking about the grunting the conductor makes, if i am not an "idiot", i think that IS a SOUND, and yes it is extremely distracting, if this was Richter playing he would be peeved, lights ON or OFF.

@cisdolce u idiot! stop posting shit? the only important thing is the sound!! that's the reason why richter sometimes played in the dark so nobody of the idiots could see his face what forced them to LISTEN!
I wish the conductor had stopped grunting like a male porn star.
That doesn't belong in Chopin's mellifluous harmony.
It really bothers me.
I can deal with Glenn Gould's hymn, but this is no place for sex grunts.

The performance while he was 11/12 sounds fresh and clear, with the romantic sensebility of a young spirit, pure, fair and innocent without fear.
And here, he plays this with the more deeply thought, a little bit heavy, which come from a mature mind. I love the both, they are all full with so much emotion and fein technique. And, they are very chopin!!! That's what ist very importent by Kissin's interpretation!! He ist the real Maester of this piece!!
Sorry for my poor english.
