  • This is from the Catherine Wheel (DB) and the "Talking Heads" are not part of this album. You should rename the title.

  • @QuantumReality777 It is being performed by Talking Heads at Wembley in 1982, hence the title.

  • This song rocks and thunders along... Nona Hendryx looks caught up in the beat. Love how the lyrics and images mix up voodoo, evangelism and mental illness!

  • totally agreed but it's dolette mcdonald

  • my fave Heads track.Remember watching this show on TV

all those years ago.Thanx for reminding me how brilliantly this was put together

  • Agreed. My favourite track also :-)

  • I recorded this off the TV way back when, but tape inevitably snapped at some point. I'd love to see the whole thing again, has it EVER been released commercially...?

  • superb version - remember watching this years ago when l just moved up to manchester, so good to see it again. 'songs from the catherine wheel' is one great album.

  • Still have the Channel4 programme on VHS. Talking Heads were/are superb. This version is so much better than the one on Catherine Wheel.

  • Thanks connected365 for all of these Wembley uploads! I never knew the Heads played this song, only knew the DB version. This one is much better, frankly, love the drums!

  • Had the video of this taped from the channel 4 programme. Must have watched it about 20 times - love the part where david byrne explains that preachers are entainers just before this song - hence the religous scenes. Thanks for posting man.

  • Funny how my fav TH's song changes from year to year. At the moment it's probably this one.. Or Crosseyed.. Or I Zimbra... Or maybe Sax and Violins.. Or Heaven.. Or What a Day That Was.. Or.. They were brilliant. They still are. There´s no band that contributed as much to the music world as they did. Anyone who disagrees doesn´t understand music.

  • Scene from the Obama Bar Mitzvah.
