  • An absolute gospel masterpiece.

  • This is probably the best gospel song ever recorded! Aretha didn't just sing this, she told us the story in a way that no one ever could.

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I bought this album 40 years ago when I was 12, and I listened to this, and I tried and tried to sing like my queen, but I never could! This breaks me out in chills, and brings me to tears. I love so many songs, but I would have to say this among my most favorite of all times. The richest, purest, most soulful singing voice God has ever gifted to sing must belong to the QUEEN DIVA, Ms. Aretha Franklin!!!

  • When I was little my mother use to play this song and every time she played it she would cry it was a sad lonely cry. But when I got older it finally hit me one day she cried because she missed the love of her mother she never had as a child. I asked her one day about it and I was right. Gospel music truly touches your soul
