  • The "german subs" were in the original DVD, made by Pythons itself

These subs (german subs) are not mine ;)

  • In 0:15 to 0:29, the subtitles tell the wrong stuff, is this supposed to be funny? *confused*

  • What would be the right translation?

  • "Yes, 25 years ago we did make two shows for the German TV, that was a very, very pleasant advice (I guess Cleese meant to say 'experience')"

"You were able to get a few cheap laughs that way"

    "*something completely nonsensical*"

    Hope that helps.

  • Ok, thx very much ;)

  • Omg... Graham you s.o.b. :3 <3

  • :P

  • I'm german

    that's mean, but funny

  • @TheMullerClan I, too, think the problem is that we still don't dare to say anything that may be connected with the NS; while everyone else doesn't give a damn about what it looks like as long as the commentator knows what's real.

we should get a bit more relaxed (as long as it's clear it's only humor).

  • "we don't have a sense of humor, but we understand you do" I think that's totaly true.

most of our comedians are quite bad.

even the british humor needs quite to get used to.

  • @Realsilencer right translation: John: yeah, 25 years ago we made 2 Episodes for German TV. it was a very, very pleasant recommendation. that's right, yes.

Eric: yes, yes. you can get a cheap laugh this way.

I can't get the last part. something with a bat or so.

  • ay ay ay....jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjaaaaaaaaaa!

  • @Levita156 I see it the other way: We ("the germans") deal with our history so much that anybody forgets: It wasn't US, that happened generations ago!

For example, i enjoy jokes about Americas patriotism-soaked history; and if someone can't accept jokes about german history, he owns a problem inside himself!

  • Unglaublich. 0:27, Erics deutsche Aussprache ist sauberer als meine eigene xD

  • Kein verlust, wir kommen nicht grad gut weg... vorurteile... nazis usw...
