  • Sorry everyone,

made a mistake in that video stating that the Aluminum did not heat at all. Honestly, it heated up extremely hot, but took a lot longer because of the thickness and density of the Aluminum heat-sink.

Was just to eager to get results! Eager Beaver! You know the drill.

    Regards, sirHOAX :=)

  • Great stuff...i'm a long time lurker...first time poster.

Just wanted some advice on where to get started with this stuff...i would like to get on par with you guys as quickly as possible, so any help to get things moving would be great.

I should have my first cell built by next month.

  • The only thing we can recommend is the KISS method. This has always reminded me over and over again when my ideas got out of hand. The Keep It Simple Stupid(KISS) method has always been the best method in the end result.

My mistakes were always trying to make things to complicated, which in turn created a lot of frustration.

Find round stock tubing if you can, get PVC parts from home depot because they are made exact every time. Make it out of easily accessible parts found locally to you.

  • Thanks !

Setups like yours places us so close to energy independence. Have you thought about adding another electrolysis tank to your setup. Electrically connect them in parallel so as to split the current equally between them. This may cut heat built up in half. That's what I plan once I get my system together.

  • Yes, that is an excellent idea. The enclosures are somewhat expensive. Actually they are priced around $13USD. So I found an easier method is to find *cheap* white plastic type cutting board material. The only thing is sealing it, it appears to have a slick surface so some glues may not work. Might try windshield adhesive, that stuff is strong as day.

    Regards, --Mr.HOAX--

  • So it might be easier to build an enclosure to spec, rather than fall victim to the manufacturer's design/specs. That is what we were thinking with the plastic type cutting board material. Have a mock-up sitting here, it even threads really well too.

Again, the solar is top-notch. Keep up the great work.

  • Did you try ceramics? They handle high heat well and seem to work well as heat distributors in some of the older heaters.

  • You could just use a cigarette filter to stop the water from getting to the nozzle ;)

  • how much lpm of hydrogen are you using

  • hi, sirhoax why don't you try hook up to infared propane heater that will even out the fuel over a larger area.great video keep up the good work! thanks sun4447

  • thermal traner rate ges like gold, silver, copper, aluminum, then way down the scale is ss as aheat conductor. copperis better than aluminum but is so high passive solar system have settled for aluminum

  • This looks encouraging. How long can you expose the mini flame to the stainless steel before the Brown's Gas flame cuts a hole into it? Or have you tested this for long periods with no damage to the SS?

BTW, you can purchase "micro Torches" like this for cooking from a Company in Taiwan called "Epoch Energy Technology Ltd." They also produce many Oxyhydrogen generators. One model (the EP 350) looks like it's 130% efficient (Faraday).

  • hi sirhoax, I had the idea of using a catalyst for hho to use in home heating, someone did this for a bbq, it seems that a standard catalytic panel would burn hho without flame, lowering comb. temp, any thoughts about this ?

  • Next vid: Cooking with HHO flame. :)

  • That water going up your line, into your "spark arrester" is the only thing saving your ears from the "BOOM"

  • How hot is the hho flame? (Compared to others)

Heat important to Alaskan. he he
