Im from D.C and have been to Arlington plenty times and the movement is a ceremonial movement BUB its' not in there regular drill manual. you having comprehension problems
The FM 3-21.5 is the Army Drill Manual. The Marine Corps uses the MCOP5060.20 and that movement is is not in the Marine Corps regulation manual partner. Im a Marine and what ever the hell you want to call that exhibition movement partner its not in the Drill Manual bub
@coporal4 If you are in the Army, then you should YouTube the changing of the Guard and watch how the ARMY performs the watch turnover at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Same facing movements boss.
@coporal4 Well I ASSURE YOU that the Army's Drill Team, as well as the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team over at 8th and I st. in DC, ALL DO THE SAME MOVEMENTS. We dont fall under whatever the fm3-21.5 is. Look it up. You'll see all the services taught the same thing. Its not an "about face", its called a "3-count about" in DC. Standard for all services because we all do joint service ceremonies together at the White House, Pentagon, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and other various places.
@MrChavis16 Her drill movements for exibition drill have no drill manual. the National Guard drills under the Army FM3-21.5 and no where in that manual do they show flipping or throwing rifles or exaggerated facial movements, which is what she is doing
@curtiss744 The about face is not incorrect. It's exhibition drill there is no drill manual for exhibition drill everything is modified. if she was drilling under the NAVMC 2691 or the MCOP560.20 or the FM3-21.5 regulation drill then you could say it was incorrect. All exhibition routines are made up there is no REGULATION MANUAL for these.
Thanks for enlightening me about the about face movement.
