  • Wow! This is absolutely amazing. Initially I thought who was playing the keyboard because The Cure at this time turned out to be a three-piece band after Mathieu Hartley, their keyboardist left in 1980. Then on close observation, I saw Simon playing both the bass and keyboard on this track! Pretty good work, I must say.

  • 17 seconds can last forever... I listened to this song on a hot summer night, walking in a desert street of London. Since then, I felt I could better understand them. Marvelous song. Tnks

  • Sunk deep in the night I sink in the night Standing alone underneath the sky I feel the chill of ice On my face I watch the hours go by The hours go by... You sleep Sleep in a safe bed Curled and protected Protected from sight Under a safe roof Deep in your house Unaware of the changes at night At night I hear the darkness breathe I sense the quiet despair Listen to the silence At night Someone has to be there Someone has to be there
  • @ajittffcure good look in details = but the sound still grate that they made - at `80

  • The "17 seconds" album is just... a band to listen again and again.... at night.

  • Fuck yes. Just fuck yes. I wouldnt be myself without the dark songs The Cure has made.

  • Simon is so cool :D Especially at the end when he's dancing in front of that big spotlight and all you can see is his sillhouette and shadows. This video is great, it's got such an atmospheric feel to it from the grainyness and the fact that it's in black and white.

  • i wish i was there, it looks amazing. great video thankz

  • Hey great dance by Simon Gallup!!!

  • @LTMPLDA to me too listening the cure in london gave me a different feeling...strange isn't it?
