not wearing your seat belt is a public risk because seat belts keep drivers in control of the car so they can avoid hitting other cars.

I am not here to argue that man made global warming is the problem but that the solution is for you to kill yourself. You emit co2 when you breathe so like it our not you can not have a zero carbon footprint. So the only way for you to eliminate your Co2 is to kill yourself.
I know you might say you are just one person but if you have 2 children and they both have 2 children you could extrapolate that by 10 generations and do the math.
So by killing yourself you reduce a LOT of Co2.

@1401JSC In reading your comment it appears you have failed to do anything but revert to name calling here.
If you have sources to quote, please provide your research that will rebut any of the documented research that has been done that predicts that this issue is a possible hazard to the human race, that above you have referred to as 'extremist theories'?

I agree with you on eliminating the irrational skeptics - it's not fair on the rest of us.
Anyway, everyone should participate on 'Earth Hour' I'm not sure of the date (google it :P) where everyone turns off all their electricity for an hour

The future of the world depends, not just on science and technology, but on how informed the average person is.
I used to think of the future as bliss, but now I fear for the eventual outcome of humanity. Not just global warming, but overpopulation and probably many other things.
Everything is finite. It all has to end eventualy. When I think about this it seems that it is very likely to have a grave future. Are we strong enough as a people to overcome this?
I hope.
