The Yoshimoto Cubes are a form of PlayArt and were designed in 1971. The collection of 3 cubes combine to a single star-like object. PlayArt is a new art form that requires audience participation.
Searching the Internet for “Yoshimoto Cubes” yields 38,500 Web results and more than 140 videos. Unfortunately, the vast majority features only one single cube while the entire PlayArt object (as Naoki Yoshimoto designed it) consists of 3 cubes. This doesn’t do this ingenious invention justice. It’s like describing the solar system and only mentioning the sun and the moon. This is misleading information which cannot be rectified since it completly outnumbers the proper information.
