Maybe before giving up on that guitar you could have a shop check it out & make sure the neck is 100% straight? Shouldn't buzz off the frets for an experienced player unless the neck is angled or possibly the nut and/or saddle are mismeasured.

@oldthinkertube thanks for your interest. I'm returning the brand-new John Mayer: 28. It doesn't really do much more than my old: 28. I will maintain the quest. Also I am two half steps lower than I do have the action real low at least on the old guitar. Thanks again.

@mumd2003 wil check. had rough adjust w neck lower. also other mic poorly mounted on side of sound hole see tissues to prevent scratching. still like my older guitar.
