I think John was hiding from a woman in that cave. There is no kitchen. And he is right. Nothing beats a crispy insect, dipped in honey. :) So, after being bored for a while, he decided to start waterboarding people in the river nearby. This became a fashionable thing to do. Like bungee jumping. Which, by the way, he also invented when he ran away from that woman and got stuck behind his flexible leather belt! Anyway, a great guy, our John.
