Because they have been denied the use of amplification - general assembly meetings use the "human Microphone" and hand signals in Zuccotti Park.

  • Okay, all politics aside for a moment: there is something very interesting happening here, in terms of how people communicate... the hand signals? Have YOU ever tried to run a meeting of 20 or more opinionated, emotional people? It's normally pure chaos. The hand signal system that evolved here is incredibly useful.

  • @daishippy I ain't your bro. Get a job, Shaggy!

  • @thereinliestherib

wow bro, i was just trying to converse ideas with you. You seem like an angry, stubborn mule who cares about 'internet pride'. Conversation ended.

  • @daishippy Yep, keep trying. And I'm sure irresponsible home ownership had nothing to do with the loan crisis, obesity has nothing to do with HC costs, pot cures cancer, etc.

  • @thereinliestherib actually by "unfairness" I think they are referring to how the fed is printing all this money, causing inflation. Big corporations get the immediate benefit, while the middle class lose value in their dollar through inflation (hence the 'unfairness')

Why is it that we could trade dollar for gold in the 1910s and now gold is around $2000?

Nobody is asking for freebies, were just asking our savings from 20 years ago is just as good today.

  • @daishippy Unfairness? The most quantifiable "unfairness" in this country lies between those who work, and the entitled classes who expect everything for free (and drove us into a recession when they defaulted on their mortgages, by the way). It's so fucking stupid. Occupy a job.

  • @thereinliestherib I was just reading about how this movement was to raise awareness about the unfairness between the 99% and 1%.

please educate me further, sir (no sarcasm)

    I've only read wiki

  • @daishippy Seriously? And what is their cause? Last I heard, the convention on defining their cause was still out, months since the start of this whiny quackery. The media did their best to drum up OWS as scrappy workingclass heros and failed miserably when the truth inevitably came out that it was actually a bunch of public-defecating bums and druggees. Don't recall those "racist" tea party rallies being synonomous with "drugs", "rape", and "drum circles."

  • hehe at last theyre doing something more than throwing spite to strangers on youtube :>

I really commend them. They are not just "sitting in a park" they are communicating efficiently their cause, rather than violently raging without a cause just to be in a protest.

  • Hilarious. When we decide what we're protesting, we'll let you know. But first we need to create parliamentary procedures. And in order to create procedure, we will have to create a bunch of hand signals and play an adult version of "telephone".

If these people spent as much time creating capital, rather than subsisting off others and sitting in parks, the country would have been out of the hole long ago.

  • fucking hippies
