  • is very nice

  • But its still more than a company truck. I know because my dad is an owner operator and had worked has a driver before.. I know its more spending, but also more than goes into your pocket.

  • After road taxes, gas, upkeep, and a load of other taxes that I cant think of right now, you dont make a whole hell of a lot of take home pay. Specially now a days with diesel being almost 4 bucks a gallon. You have to think 2 100 gallon tanks at 4 bucks a gallong. It is better to drive a companie truck and use there diessel cards at there approved filling stations.

  • Sounds like a jack hammer

  • I know. You make more money owning the truck though, so it pays off everything. He was already living out of the truck, only this time he'll make more money.

  • Its cheaper to use the companies trucks. The companie pays the insurance, and upkeep for the trucks.

The cost doesnt end with buying the truck, then you have insurance, and upkeep. The only way to own one in this country that wont leave ya broke, is to buy it, and live out of it. Never stop moving with it.

  • I know that, but like, why didnt he save money to buy himself a truck and become an owner operator is what i'm asking..
