Hey all, time for something slightly different! I've been playing a lot of Skyrim recently and am utterly amazed at the work that has gone into making the game as amazing as it is. The graphics, the story, the music- they all combine to make an unforgettable experience.

I composed this music over several days after playing Skyrim. It is meant as a tribute to an amazing game that inspired me to make this song. I hoped to capture the mixture of drama and excitement at being the "Dragonborn" with the eerieness and sadness associated with the epic landscapes and loss of life. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

  • Hi man I'll soon make a skyrim machinima! May I use this work of the gods? It's amazing? :D I'll give you credit!!

  • @TheStingyGoblin Of course man, that's awesome! I'll look out for it! Link my channel in it? Cheers :D

  • i love how you took a different approach to music for skyrim, as most of it is more aggressive and fast paced with more staccato parts, but a slow and beautiful sound fits the game well. Can you put it up for download or something?

  • @person2045 Thanks man! Added download link to description :)

  • Impressive piece of music. But I don't agree with the use of bells...at all :/ . While it didn't sound BAD, the bells added a sense of mysticism and Hogwarts where there should have been more percussion, more french horns, to add a feeling of battle cry and cold steel and blood. Great music, but not for Skyrim. The strings did fit, though, as they sounded like the strings in the cold trail theme (look up cold trail trailer on youtube, I'm talking about the strings before the action starts).

  • @R31nm4n Thanks for the detailed review, it's really valuable to get in depth feedback. Also my reason for the bells was to add a sense of the villages preparing for danger/ warning of attack. Cheers :)

  • Good job. Reinforces in my mind that The Elder Scrolls games have become "virtual hiking" for me. Simply cannot justify cranking out 100 iron daggers when I could be looking at the scenery.

  • The adjective "beautiful" cannot do this video enough justice.
