It's about a girl named Haruhi Fujioka, a scholarship student at Ouran High School, an academy for the super-rich and well-to-do. While she's looking for a quite place to study she accisdentaly knocks over an antique vase and becomes indebted to the shcool's Host Club. To repay her debt she becomes a host and gets wrapped up in their hilarious misadventures, most of which are caused by the Host Club's "King", Tamaki Suoh.

maybe, but like i said they don't necessarily have to fit into the tv series' continuity they could always just be out on their own and allude to the general position they're in as far as the story.
