Anime Studio Pro 6 feature overview part 1 of 2

Anime Studio is just a tool, albeit a powerful tool. Telling people to go back to paper flipping animation is like recommending people throw away their power tools and stick with a hammer.
That said, people still need artistic skill and need to master the fundamentals--something I'm trying to do myself--in order to produce any quality work but it doesn't matter whether people practice on paper frame-by-frame or use AS with a tablet.

Can you create your own characters in Anime Studio Debut 6? Or this?

is it possible to scan drawn work, trace it with the program and color it, because i have it and i can't figure that part out
-
can u use this program with graphing tablet ??????????
-
@MrHossCartwright yeah, i had no experience and i picked it up real quick within a month on the previous version.

When I had Anime Studio 5, it had the mouths feature, but when it got upgraded to 6, it's gone! If no-one on the entire internet knows about this problem, I'm gonna stick to Anime Studio 5 (Where it does have the mouths feature).

I can't find the mouths feature in my anime studio pro 6! I searched in import, then i searched for mouths. It's not there! What happened? I've searched on the internet about this problem, and you know what? They don't have anything! So I'm probably the only one that has an anime studio pro 6 with no import mouth feature! Darn it! I don't want to make my own custom mouths! Please help!

@npcompletion I shall quote myself: "and better results". Your metaphor is incorrect.
Simply, using tools like anime studio means that you'd build some house really really quickly and lazily, only to have it blown over in the first storm that hits the town. Anime studio can make DECENT results quickly, but good ones almost have to be made either in 3d, or the traditional or traditional+digital(i.e. fbf with Flash) way.

Anyone who is wondering how to animate, or if you should buy this, here's a tip.
First buy a pencil. Then a flipbook. Then animate. A LOT cheaper and better results

What I wanna know is, can a person that has only a "Mario Paint" level of experience at making animations etc. EVER understand this kind of software? I've been wishing I could do my own cartoons and stuff for YEARS but I've been afraid I wouldn't be able to understand it.
Mm, I've been thinking of buying this, but I'm not sure. When creating a character, would you still have to import a drawing or could you make one on the program itself?

I often do both. Lately I have been sketching on paper and tracing in Anime Studio. However the sketches are more like rough guidelines and the final characters are completely different.

do u think this one is worth buying if u already have 5?

Personally yes, I think it is worth the upgrade price. However others disagree, based on price and new features. Best bet would be to download the free demo and try it out to see if you like the new version and think it is worth the price to upgrade. I think the new GUI or interface is worth the price alone.
